Before I tell you about our next plans, I wanted to give a quick update on our spring activities. We enjoyed a nice April staying in our RV at our beautiful lot at Hilton Head Island Motor Coach Resort. Highlights of our time in Hilton Head were volunteering at the PGA Heritage Golf Tournament and a fun week long visit from my brother, Bill and sister in law, Brenda.
We left Hilton Head to work our way home with a two week stop at one of our favorite campgrounds, Mile Creek on the scenic Lake Keowee. We stayed there two weeks with our good friends from Florida Renee and Dave joining us! From there we headed home to Cashiers for the rest of May and June. We did take 9 of those days to fly to Boise to visit with Mary and Ty and then a few days in San Diego to celebrate my moms 92 birthday! While in Boise Mary and Bob went sky diving for Father's Day and Mary and I did a "Sip 'n Paint" for a delayed Mother's Day gift.
Once back in Cashiers, we not only spent time catching up with our friends but deep cleaning our house! We have rented our house while we are gone on this next trip and it's amazing the different way you look at your house when you know someone else will be staying there!
Once all the cleaning was done, we started cleaning and packing Eddie the RV for our next great adventure. We actually started planning this trip in 2020 and it was to be our first trip after we sold our businesses. But then the pandemic hit and everything changed, including the US/Canada border closing. Instead, we took the RV to California two years in a row but now it's 2022 and the boarder is open again! We plan to be gone almost 2 months and below is our itinerary:
Our first stop that is not on this map will be Washington, DC. We will be staying in Maryland at Cherry Hill Park the closest RV resort near DC. We will spend 4 days there celebrating 4th of July in our nations capitol with our daughter Elizabeth and SIL Tyler.
