One Night in Memphis

From Nashville, we drove to Memphis where we were planning to stay for 3 nights. But Hurricane Delta had other ideas! Memphis was expecting heavy rains and 20 mile an hour winds so we cut our stay here to one night.

We camped at a nice place called Tom Sawyer's RV Park that is right on the Mississippi River. While the campground was nothing fancy, the view was beautiful. We were able to sit and watch the barges go by!

We brought our bikes along but always hate when we have to leave Scooby in the RV while we are away. While he loves longs walks, he would not be able to run the distance we like to ride! Bob came up with a great solution!

I have to say Scooby was a bit apprehensive about the whole thing and even tried to jump out once! Good thing there's a strap that connects to his collar to keep him IN the cart. By the end of the ride he seemed to be getting more comfortable and hopefully with some more practice he will enjoy it!

The next morning we took a long walk along the river and saw this sign on one of the buildings at our campground!! Wow.....hard to believe the water was that high!

It made us stop and pray for all the people living in the path of Hurricane Delta! We felt blessed we could pick up and move our "house" to safer grounds. Next stop will be somewhere in Arkansas where we plan to stay for at least 3 nights and just relax! It's been a busy last few weeks and think we are ready for some down time!
